This is a pair of auto extension tubes which fit between your SLR camera and lens for extra close focusing (macro) shots, up to 1:1 (life size) or even better. They retain the automatic diaphragm and full aperture metering features of your Minolta SR, SRT, X, XG or XD manual focus 35mm camera and SR, MC or MD lens combination (but not program or shutter priority modes), and are in good condition with rear cap.

Two tubes are supplied - 36mm and 21mm long - and they can be used singly or together to provide up to 57mm extension. The longer the extension used, the closer you'll get. With a 50mm standard lens, the pair will get you to slightly greater than 1:1 (actually 1.14x life size). This is better than most dedicated macro lenses, filling the frame with a subject as small as 21x32mm (0.8x1.24 inches), and is ideal for photographing many small objects such as coins, stamps, insects, etc. Even greater magnification is available with some wide angle lenses. Longer lenses offer lower magnification, but more comfortable working distances.

The tubes retain the fully automatic diaphragm and full aperture metering of the original camera and lens combination (where appropriate), so are fast and easy to use, with no extra manual procedures required. Compatible with manual and aperture priority auto exposure modes, and the 21mm tube is also suitable for program or shutter priority on suitable cameras. TTL metering systems (including TTL flash) will take care of the required exposure correction automatically.

These independent tubes (no make is indicated) are very solidly made in Japan with metal barrels and lens mounts, and a good standard of fit and finish. Please note that the two tubes have different styling (and the 21mm tube has the extra MD coupling), but they fit and work fine together.

The tubes are in fully working order, with all linkages working correctly. Cosmetically they look good with only the usual evidence that they've been used, including scratches around the bayonet mounts, surface scratches and scrapes plus some paint scrapes here and there, etc.

These tubes fit Minolta manual focus SLR cameras including the SR-1, SR-2, SR-3, SR-7, SRM and other SR models, SRT100, SRT100B (SRT200), SRT101, SRT101b (SRT201), SRT303 (SRT102), SRT303b (SRT202) and other SR-T models, XE-1 (XE, XE-7), XE-5 (XE-b), XG-1, XG2 (XG7, XGE), XG-A (X-7), XG-M (X-70), XG9, X-300 (X-370), X-300s (X-370N), X-500 (X-570), X-600, X-700, X-9, XD5, XD7 (XD, XD11) and other X, XG and XD models, plus the professional XM (X-1, XK) and XK Motor. They also fit the Centon DF-300, plus some recent Chinese Soligor and Seagull cameras, which use the Minolta mount. Suitable lenses include Minolta manual focus SR, MC, MD and Celtic types, and independent lenses in these fittings. Auto diaphragm and full-aperture metering, compatible with aperture priority auto and manual exposure on suitable models. The 21mm tube also has the extra MD connection for compatibility with program or shutter priority auto exposure modes where available.

MD lenses and accessories do NOT fit the Minolta AF, Maxxum, Dynax or Alpha autofocus, Konica Minolta or Sony digital cameras, Vectis APS models, or any other makes. Adapters are available (not included) to use MC and MD lenses and accessories on Minolta AF and some Sony Alpha, Canon EOS, Olympus and Panasonic Four Thirds and Micro Four Thirds, Samsung NX and Sony NEX digital cameras, with manual focusing, stopped down metering in manual and aperture priority auto exposure modes only. They accept Minolta manual focus lenses only as above, not AF or digital ones.
