This easy to use adapter allows you to use hundreds of Canon FD and FL fit lenses on your Olympus Pen or Panasonic G-series Micro Four Thirds digital compact system camera. Infinity focusing is maintained (it may focus slightly beyond infinity with some lenses), and as there's no extra glass required the optical quality is not affected.

You can use manual focusing in aperture priority automatic or metered manual exposure modes, with stopped down metering. You set the aperture on the lens, and the camera sets the shutter speed automatically. Because of the smaller sensor in these digital cameras, the effective focal lengths are doubled, so a 50mm lens provides the same field of view as a 100mm on a film camera.

The adapter has its own diaphragm control ring, and you turn this to the Open setting to fit the lens, and then to the Lock setting to stop down the aperture. You use the lens's own aperture ring to choose the aperture you want. NOTE: FD lenses must be moved off the A (Auto) or green circle setting before they're fitted to the adapter, and AC lenses (for the Canon T80) will NOT fit.

It's simple to use - you can either fit the adapter to the lens first, then bayonet the combination onto the camera, or fit the adapter to the camera first and then attach/remove multiple lenses as required. The adapter locks securely onto the camera and is released using the button on the body, and lenses are removed using either their own release button or breech lock ring. It adds around 24mm (1 inch) to the length of the lens when attached and weighs approximately 80g. This is a generic adapter and the make and style may vary slightly, but all are functionally identical.

The adapter is in excellent condition and fully working order. It fits cameras and lenses smoothly (the tension may vary slightly) and locks securely. The diaphragm control ring works smoothly. Cosmetically it shows only the usual signs of use with some surface marks here and there, but no dents, dings or deep scratches. At the time of listing we have more than one of this item, but the pictures and description here are representative of all of them.

This adapter fits Micro Four Thirds digital compact system cameras including the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1, G2, G3, G10, GH1, GH2, GF1, GF2, GF3, GF5 and GX1, Olympus Pen E-P1, E-P2, E-P3, E-PL1, E-PL1s, E-PL2, E-PL3, E-PM1 and OM-D E-M5. NOT suitable for Four Thirds DSLR cameras.

It's suitable for the vast majority of manual focus Canon FD, FL and independent lenses in FD/FL fittings. In all cases focusing is manual, and exposure works in metered manual or aperture priority auto modes, with stopped down metering.

NOT suitable for Canon EF lenses for EOS cameras, FL-P lenses for the Pellix, AC lenses for the T80, EX lenses or any other types.
