This is an independent auto winder (power winder) for some of the classic Canon A-series manual focus SLR cameras - see the full list below. It's in generally good condition and comes with case, remote control, a copy of the instruction leaflet and new batteries. More advanced features are also available on selected models (see below).

This winder provides continuous film winding at up to 2 frames per second, depending on the shutter speed. This is ideal for fast moving subjects such as sports, children and even portraits where you want to take another picture quickly as the subject changes expression. It also means you don't need to take the camera away from your eye to wind on - especially useful for people who use their left eye for viewing.

Built-in tripod socket, and rewind button so film can be rewound manually without removing the winder. Powered by 4x standard AA batteries (supplied), including disposable alkaline or rechargeable NiCd or NiMH types. Compact and lightweight - adds only around 36mm (1.5 inches) to the camera's height, and a mere 180g to the weight (without batteries).

Advanced features for A-1 and AE-1 Program cameras only
Choice of single shot or continuous winding modes. Built-in interval timer can be set to automatically give delays of 5, 30 and 60 seconds or 5 minutes between shots. This is great for time-lapse photography, where the camera can take pictures for up to three hours unattended! Remote control socket for electrical cable (a generic remote control with lock is included) with standard 2.5mm connection. Ideal for wildlife photography, where the camera can be concealed and released from afar.

This is an independent Jessop C-1TR winder, more or less equivalent to the Canon Power Winder A2, which is harder to find than the original Power Winder A. Neither Canon model has an interval timer, and the Winder A has no remote control socket.

Condition: Excellent++ (8/10)
The winder is in fully working order and good condition. Cosmetically it shows just the usual signs of use (but not abuse), including some surface scratches and scrapes here and there - mainly on the base. Please Note: The battery contacts are quite badly marked, but have been cleaned and work fine. The instruction leaflet is a copy but complete and legible.

No cracks, splits or deep scratches, and overall it's in good shape.

Compatibility
This winder fits the Canon A-series 35mm manual focus SLR cameras only. Compatible models are the Canon AE-1, AT-1, AL-1, AV-1, AE-1 Program (AE-1P) and A-1. Please note that some features only work with selected models (see above).

It will NOT fit any other models such as the F-1 range or T-series (some of which accept different winders or motor drives), EOS models, digital cameras or any other makes or models.
