This compact and lightweight winder for most Olympus OM cameras (see below) gives continuous winding at up to 2 frames per second, depending on the shutter speed, with a choice of single shot or continuous winding modes. This is ideal for fast moving subjects such as sports, children and even portraits where you want to take another picture quickly as the subject changes expression. It also means you don't need to take the camera away from your eye to wind on - especially useful for people who use their left eye for viewing.

Built-in interval timer can be set to automatically give delays of 5, 30 and 60 seconds or 5 minutes between shots, when used with the remote control unit supplied. This is great for time-lapse photography, where the camera can take pictures for up to three hours unattended! Remote control socket for electrical cable (a generic locking remote is included) with standard 2.5mm connection. Ideal for wildlife photography, where the camera can be concealed and released from afar.

Integral grip with electronic shutter release improves handling, especially with large, heavy lenses. Built-in tripod socket. Storage provided for the winder cover from the camera's base plate. The winder adds only around 30mm (1.25 inches) to the camera's height, and a mere 260g to the weight (without batteries). Powered by 4x standard AA batteries and disposable alkaline (supplied) or rechargeable NiCd or NiMH types can all be used. This is an independent OM-1TR winder (the model supplied may be branded either Jessop or Soligor), more or less equivalent to the Olympus Winder 2, with the added timer feature that the Olympus doesn't have.

The winder is in good condition and fully working order. All controls operate positively. The finish is good, with just the usual signs of handling, including some small surface scratches in the plastic finish. The battery contacts are clear and bright, and show no signs of corrosion. The remote is in good condition, and the instructions may be a copy. No cracks, splits or deep scratches, and overall it's in good shape!

Please note that winders and motors can NOT be used with the very early M-1 or OM-1 (not carrying the MD badge), without modification. The OM2000 does not have connections for a winder. Not suitable for the OM-707 (OM-77AF) auto focus or OM-101 (OM-88) power focus SLRs, Olympus digital cameras, or any other models or makes.
