This is an original Canon lens hood to fit the 100-300mm New FD telephoto zoom lenses for the company's classic manual focus SLR cameras.

A lens hood provides shading for the front element of your lens, excluding extraneous light which can cause unwanted reflections, flare and loss of contrast. This one fits the New FD 100-300mm f/5.6 and 100-300mm f/5.6 L lenses with 58mm filter threads.

The hood is lightweight at only around 35g, and made from plastic with a flocked matt black finish inside. It measures around 55mm (2.25 inches) long, 80mm (3.25 inches) in diameter, and fits onto the bayonet ring at the front of the lens.

The hood is in used condition with just the normal signs of use including some scratches and scrapes here and there, but no cracks, splits or serious damage. At the time of listing we have more than one of this item, but the pictures and description here are representative of all of them.

This lens hood fits 100-300mm telephoto zoom lenses with 58mm filter thread from Canon's New FD (FDn) range, including the 100-300mm f/5.6 and 100-300mm f/5.6 L. Not suitable for the EF 100-300mm lenses for EOS cameras.
