This is an original Contax Cable Switch (electronic remote release) for most Contax 35mm SLR cameras, plus the Contax G-series and Yashica AF cameras (see below for list).

You can press the release button for single shots, or switch it to lock mode for continuous shooting on suitable cameras. The cable length is around 30cm (12 inches) from the push button to the connector. It's nicely made, in Japan.

The cable switch is in very good condition and fully working order. It shows only normal signs of use with some surface marks here and there, but no cracks, splits or deep scratches. The box is showing signs of age but complete. Pictures in this listing show the actual item offered for sale.

Compatibility
This release fits many Contax SLR cameras including the RTS II, RTS III, 167MT, ST, RX, RX II, AX and Aria, plus the G1 and G2 "rangefinder" cameras. It also fits the Yashica AF 35mm SLRs - the 200AF, 230AF, 270AF, 300AF, etc.

The original Contax RTS and Yashica FR cameras require a Connector Cord R6SJ (not included). Not suitable for the Contax S2 and S2b, which require a mechanical cable release. Not suitable for the Contax 645, N1, N Digital or NX.
