This is an auto focus extension tube for the Yashica 200-AF, 230-AF, 270-AF and 300-AF 35mm SLR cameras and Yashica AF lenses. It fits between your SLR camera and lens for extra close focusing (macro) shots. Unlike many other types it has mechanical and electrical couplings to retain full aperture metering and compatibility with all exposure modes, and even auto focusing. It's made by Kyocera (the manufacturer of Yashica AF cameras), and is in very nice condition and boxed, with front/rear caps.

The tube provides 8.5mm (0.3 inches) extension, which reduces the focusing distance of any lens attached. For example, the AF 35-70mm standard zoom lens on its own focuses down to around 1:4 (one quarter life size), and with this tube the magnification increases to around 1:2.5 (between one half and one third life size), filling the frame with a subject as small as 60x90mm (2.4x3.6 inches). The greatest magnification is available with wider angle lenses, and longer ones offer lower magnification, but more comfortable working distances. Auto focusing will work with faster lenses, but manual focusing is often preferred for macro work, due to the minimal depth of field and smaller effective apertures.

The tube retains the fully automatic diaphragm and full aperture metering of the original camera and lens combination, so is fast and easy to use, with no extra manual procedures required. Compatible with manual and all auto exposure modes. TTL metering systems (including TTL flash) will take care of the required exposure correction automatically.

This genuine Kyocera Extension Tube MA-8.5 tube is nicely made (in Japan), with metal lens mounts, black finish and a high standard of fit and finish. It will not disgrace your camera outfit. Please note that this listing is for the extension tube only, and no camera or lens is included.

An excellent close up accessory for Yashica AF users and collectors!

The extension tube is in very good condition and fully working order (checked on our Yashica AF camera and lenses). It fits and locks securely, and all couplings work correctly including AF. Cosmetically it shows only small signs of use with just some small surface marks here and there. The box and caps are in good condition.

No cracks, splits or deep scratches, and overall, it's in nice shape!

Compatibility
This extension tube fits the Yashica Auto Focus 35mm SLR cameras: the 200-AF (200AF), 230-AF (230AF), 270-AF (270AF) and 300-AF (300AF) only. Fully compatible with auto or manual focusing, and all exposure and metering modes. These cameras had a different bayonet mount to the Yashica (and Contax) manual focus SLR cameras, and only Yashica AF (and independent Yashica AF-fit) lenses will fit directly.

It will NOT fit manual focus Contax or Yashica cameras, Contax AF models, or any other makes.
