Genuine Minolta auto winder for Minolta XD series manual focus SLR cameras (see below)

This is an original Minolta Auto Winder D for the company's XD series of 35mm SLR cameras. These classic models were the world's first multi-mode auto exposure SLR cameras, and the Winder D is somewhat less common now than the Winder G which fits many other Minolta models. This one's in good condition with case and new batteries.

It provides continuous winding at up to 2 frames per second, depending on the shutter speed used. Suitable for all shutter speeds and all auto or manual exposure modes. This is ideal for fast moving subjects such as sports, children and even portraits where you want to take another picture quickly as the subject changes expression. It also means you don't need to take the camera away from your eye to wind on - especially useful for people who use their left eye for viewing.

Built-in tripod socket, and rewind button so film can be rewound manually without removing the winder. Compatible with the XD cameras' multiple exposure facility. Powered by 4x standard AA batteries which are inexpensive and easily obtainable. Disposable Alkaline (supplied) or rechargeable NiCd or NiMH batteries can be used. High quality construction - made in Japan. The finish includes slightly padded leatherette panels to match the XD cameras. It adds only around 35mm (1.5 inches) to the camera's height, and 200g to the weight (without batteries).

Condition: Excellent++ (8/10)
The winder is in good condition and fully working order. All controls operate positively. The finish is good with just the usual signs of age - in particular the leatherette panels have shrunk slightly (see pictures). There are some surface scratches here and there. The battery contacts are clear and bright, and show no signs of corrosion. The case is showing signs of age, but complete. At the time of listing we have more than one of this item, but the pictures and description here are representative of all of them. No dents or dings, and overall it's in good shape!

This winder ONLY fits Minolta XD 35mm manual focus SLR cameras - the XD, XD5 (XD-5), XD7 (XD-7), XDS (XD-S) and XD11 (XD-11).

It does NOT fit the Minolta XG and X-series cameras, any AF or digital models, or any other makes.
