This genuine Nikon AR-8 Cable Release Adapter accepts Nikon cable releases with the external thread for the F, F2 and some Nikkormat cameras, such as the AR-2 Cable Release and AR-4 Double Cable Release (not included). It allows them to be used on cameras with a standard screw-in cable release fitting such as the Nikon F3, FM series, FE series, EM, FG, FA and many others.

The adapter is solidly made (in Japan) with all-metal construction, measures around 16mm (0.6 inches) long, 10mm (0.4 inches) in diameter and weighs under 5g.
