This is a remote control lead (cord) for Olympus cameras, winders and motor drives, plus many other cameras with a standard 2.5mm remote socket. This includes the popular Pentax and Samsung digital SLR cameras, and many others. The lead is 5m (16 feet) long. It fires the shutter immediately when the button is pressed, so focusing should be preset on AF or digital cameras. It's an essential accessory for remote triggering applications such as wildlife photography, and reduces vibration when the camera is used on a tripod or other support.
