A lens hood provides shading for the front element of your lens, excluding extraneous light which can cause unwanted reflections, flare and loss of contrast. This one fits the Minolta MD 35-105mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom lens.

The hood is very lightweight at only around 15g, and made from plastic with a matt black finish inside. It measures around 21mm (0.8 inches) long, 75mm (3 inches) in diameter, and clips on to the front of the lens.
