This is an excellent TTL auto bounce swivel zoom twin flashgun for the early Minolta AF SLR cameras - 5000, 7000 and 9000 AF with standard hot shoe (see below). It's not suitable for the 5000i, 7000i or any later Maxxum, Dynax, Konica Minolta or Sony models. The flash is in good condition, and supplied with Alkaline batteries.

The bounce and swivel flash head tilts up to 90 degrees and swivels over 330 degrees for bounce flash in vertical or horizontal positions. Bounce flash gives much softer, more natural lighting than direct flash. A secondary flash tube is built in, and this fills in the shadows when bounce flash is used. This can be switched on or off as desired. Zoom flash head adjusts for wide angle (35mm), normal (50mm), short tele (85mm) and telephoto (105mm and longer) lenses, giving wider coverage or greater range as appropriate.

Powerful guide numbers from 40m (132ft) at the longest telephoto setting to 24m (80 feet) at wide angle with ISO 100 film. This gives a theoretical maximum range of around 20m (66 feet) with ISO 100 film and 50mm f/1.4 lens, but as with all flashguns, actual range will depend on the conditions. TTL (Through The Lens) auto flash control system for extremely accurate exposures, taking account of factors such as bounce, filters and bellows/extension tubes. Fully automatic, dedicated operation in all exposure modes, including program. Thyristor circuitry used in auto modes for faster recycling and more flashes per set of batteries. High and low power settings available.

Comprehensive control panel on the rear of the flash provides distances from 1.5 to 40m (5 to 132 feet), apertures from f/2 to f/16 and film speeds from ISO 50 to 1000. Ready light, plus auto check light confirms correct exposure after the shot has been taken (also shown in the viewfinder with most cameras). Autofocus illuminator built in to assist AF in low light condition. This operates automatically as required on suitable cameras. This independent Topca 330 AF flashgun is nicely made, yet weighs only around 330g (without batteries). Locking shoe fitting for secure mounting. Takes 4x standard disposable alkaline AA batteries (included).

The flash is in fully working order and very good condition. All features work properly, and all controls operate positively. Cosmetically it's in good condition with just the usual signs of use, including some surface marks here and there in the plastic finish. The battery contacts are clean with no signs of corrosion.

No cracks, splits or deep scratches, and overall it's in nice shape!

Compatibility
This flash is designed for the Minolta 5000, 7000 and 9000 AF 35mm SLR cameras ONLY, with conventional hot shoe fitting. The shutter speed and/or aperture are set automatically when the flash is charged, and flash ready status is indicated in the viewfinder. It also works on the Minolta X-500 (X-570), X-700 and X-700 manual focus models, with TTL flash control (flash ready is indicated by the LED display switching off).

It will NOT fit the later Maxxum/Dynax/Alpha models (from the 5000i and 7000i onwards) with Minolta's new type of flash shoe, though there was a Minolta adapter available (not included). NOT suitable for Minolta, Konica Minolta or Sony digital cameras, other manual focus cameras, or any other make.
