This is an excellent high power TTL auto bounce zoom AF flashgun for most Minolta Dynax 35mm AF SLR cameras (but not the very earliest 5000-9000 models, the last 3L, 30, 40 and 50 cameras or any digital models - see the full list below). It's in very good condition, and comes with extra wide angle diffuser and new batteries.

The bounce and swivel flash head tilts up to 90 degrees and swivels over 330 degrees for bounce flash in vertical or horizontal positions. Bounce flash gives much softer, more natural lighting than direct flash. A secondary flash tube is built in, and this fills in the shadows when bounce flash is used. This can be switched on or off as desired. Zoom flash head adjusts for wide angle (35mm), normal (50mm) and tele (85mm and longer) lenses, giving wider coverage or greater range as appropriate.

Powerful guide numbers from 44m (143ft) at the longest telephoto setting to 22m (72 feet) at wide angle with ISO 100 film. This gives a theoretical maximum range of up to 21m (70 feet) with ISO 100 film, but as with all flashguns, actual range will depend on the conditions. TTL (Through The Lens) auto system for extremely accurate exposures, taking account of factors such as bounce, filters and bellows/extension tubes. Fully automatic, dedicated operation in all exposure modes, including program. Thyristor circuitry used in auto modes for faster recycling and more flashes per set of batteries. High and low power settings are available.

Comprehensive control panel on the rear of the flash provides distances from 1.4 to 40m (5 to 132 feet), apertures from f/2 to f/22 and film speeds from ISO 64 to 1600. Ready light, plus auto check light confirms correct exposure after the shot has been taken (also shown in the viewfinder with most cameras). This independent Jessop 300 AF-Mi flashgun is nicely made, yet weighs only around 320g (without batteries). Locking shoe fitting for secure mounting. Takes 4x standard disposable alkaline AA batteries (included).

This flash is in fully working order and good condition. It charges and fires correctly, and dedicated features work properly with suitable Minolta film cameras. Cosmetically, it is in good condition, with just the usual handling marks and small scratches in the plastic finish. The battery contacts are slightly marked, but work fine. These models require Konica Minolta (D), Sony or other compatible flash units.

Dynax flash units like this one are NOT suitable for the Minolta 5000 AF (Maxxum 5000, Alpha 5000), 7000 AF (Maxxum 7000, Alpha 7000), 9000 AF (Maxxum 9000, Alpha 9000) cameras with standard hot shoe, manual focus Minoltas, or any other make of camera.
