This Ricoh XR Winder-1 fits the classic XR-1s, XR-2s and original KR-10 cameras (but NOT later KR-10 models - see below). It gives continuous winding at up to 2 frames per second, and a switch offers the choice of single shot or continuous modes - much more convenient than the more usual continuous-only winders, where you can take extra shots accidentally.

This is ideal for fast moving subjects such as sports, children and even portraits where you want to take another picture quickly as the subject changes expression. It also means you don't need to take the camera away from your eye to wind on - especially useful for people who use their left eye for viewing.

Integral grip with shutter release improves handling, especially with large, heavy lenses. Standard cable release socket reduces camera shake when used on a tripod, and can be used with an air release for remote control. Built in tripod socket. The winder fits directly onto the camera's base plate, without having to remove any covers, etc. A rewind lever is provided so that film can be rewound (manually) without removing the winder.

Solid, high quality construction - made in Japan. The winder adds only around 30mm (1.25 inches) to the height of the camera, and weighs 260g without batteries. Power source is 4x standard AA batteries which are inexpensive and easily obtainable - disposable Alkaline (supplied) or rechargeable NiCd and NiMH types can be used.

A well specified winder which is a must for Ricoh users and collectors!

Condition: Excellent++ (8/10)
The winder is in good condition and fully working order (checked on a Ricoh XR-2s). The controls operate positively. The finish is good with just the usual signs of use including some surface scratches and scrapes in the plastic finish, paint wear on the attachment screw, etc. The battery contacts are slightly marked (not corroded), but work fine.

Overall, it's in good shape!

Compatibility
This winder fits the original Ricoh KR-10, the limited edition KR-10SE, XR-1s and XR-2s 35mm SLR cameras. It may fit other models, too - please check the arrangement of drive gear, alignment pin and electrical contacts in the picture here, or contact us for details.

It will NOT fit later versions of the KR-10 such as the KR-10 Super or KR-10X (which require the XR Winder 2 - click here) or the original XR-1 and XR-2 (non-S) models, which don't take a winder.
