This is an original Tamron lens hood to fit the Adaptall 2 35-135mm f/3.5-4.5 lens (model 40A) only.

A lens hood provides shading for the front element of your lens, excluding extraneous light which can cause unwanted reflections, flare and loss of contrast.

The hood is very lightweight at only around 20g, and made from plastic with a ribbed matt black finish inside. It measures around 30mm (1.25 inches) long, 85mm (3.5 inches) in diameter, and fits on to the bayonet mount at the front of the lens, reversing for storage.

The hood is in very good condition with only normal signs of use and no cracks, splits or deep scratches. The box is showing signs of age.
