Teleplus converters (made by Kenko) are one of the top independent brands, and this one is suitable for Praktica B and Jenaflex bayonet mount SLR cameras - see below. It's in very good condition, and comes with a rear cap.

This converter fits between the camera and lens, and doubles the focal length. It can be used with just about any lens (except some very wide/old types, where the rear elements protrude too far), but work best with standard, telephoto and zoom lenses. A 50mm standard becomes a 100mm portrait lens, and a reasonably priced 70-210mm becomes a 140-420mm, which would usually be very expensive.

The converter couples to the camera's auto diaphragm and electric full aperture metering systems, compatible with manual and aperture priority auto exposure modes (see below). TTL metering systems (including TTL flash) will handle the exposure compensation required automatically. The close focusing distance of the original lens is retained, so you get extra magnification for close ups. A zoom lens that focuses down to 1:4 (one quarter life size) on its own will manage 1:2 (half life size) with the converter.

Multicoated (MC) glass to reduce flare and light loss, and increase contrast and colour fidelity, with four element optical design. This 2x PR Teleplus MC4 converter is very nicely made (in Japan) with a solid, metal barrel and lens mounts, and a high standard of fit and finish. It adds only around 25mm (1 inch) to the length of the lens attached, and weighs just 150g.

The converter is in fully working order, mounts securely and all couplings work correctly. The glass is very clean with no scratches, misting, fungus or other problems, but just some specks of dust and other tiny marks as usual, which won't affect the pictures at all. Cosmetically it has a smooth black finish with clean paintwork. There is only the usual evidence that it's been used, including some small scratches around the bayonet mounts, minor surface marks here and there, etc. The cap is in good condition.

No dents, dings or deep scratches, and overall it's in nice shape!

Compatibility
This converter has the Praktica B mount, and fits all bayonet Praktica cameras including the B100, B200, BMS, BCA, BC-1, BC-3, BCX, BX20 and BX20s and others. It also fits the Carl Zeiss Jenaflex AC-1 and AM-1 cameras, which use the same Praktica B lens mount. Automatic diaphragm, full aperture metering with electrical contacts (a Praktica innovation!) and compatible with auto and manual exposure modes.

It DOES NOT fit older Praktica screw mount cameras, or any other make of camera. Adapters are available for use on Olympus Pen and Panasonic G Micro Four Thirds or Sony NEX digital cameras, but only with Praktica B lenses - not digital ones.
