This is an independent auto winder (power winder) for the classic Canon A-series manual focus SLR cameras such as the AE-1, AE-1 Program and A-1 - see the full list below. It has a useful interval timer feature built in, and is in good condition with batteries.

The winder provides continuous film transport at up to 2 frames per second, depending on the shutter speed. This is ideal for fast moving subjects such as sports, children and even portraits where you want to take another picture quickly as the subject changes expression. It also means you don't need to take the camera away from your eye to wind on - especially useful for people who use their left eye for viewing.

An optional built-in timer gives delays between shots of 5, 15 or 30 seconds. You hold the shutter release down (or use a locking cable release), and the camera will fire repeatedly at the preset interval, for time lapse photography. Powered by 4x standard AA batteries including disposable alkaline (supplied) or rechargeable NiCd or NiMH types, which are inexpensive and easily obtainable. A storage slot is provided for the winder cover from the camera's base plate. Built-in tripod socket, plus rewind button so film can be rewound manually without removing the winder. This is an independent winder more or less equivalent to the Canon Power Winder A, though the Canon model doesn't have an interval timer.

The winder is in good condition, fully working order and has been checked on our Canon camera. The controls operate positively. The finish is good with just normal signs of use, including some scratches and scrapes here and there. The battery contacts are clean, with no sign of corrosion. No dents, dings or deep scratches, and overall it's in good shape!

Compatibility
This winder fits Canon A-series manual focus SLR cameras only. Compatible models are the Canon AE-1, AT-1, AL-1, AV-1, AE-1 Program (AE-1P) and A-1.

It will not fit any other models, such as the F-1, T-series, EOS models, digital cameras or any other makes.
