This is an original Minolta Vectis SF-1 flash unit, designed for the company's S-1 APS film SLR camera, and also suitable for selected Minolta Dynax 35mm SLRs, but NOT most digital models. This one's in very good condition, complete and boxed with case, macro diffuser and batteries. Please read the full description for more important information.
The flash provides fully automatic exposure in all modes including program, shutter priority and aperture priority, plus manual. Exposure is measured directly off the film (TTL) for the most accurate results possible. Auto fill in flash and slow shutter sync flash balance existing light and flash on most cameras.
The guide number is 28 (meters, ISO 200), for a theoretical maximum range of up to 20m (65 feet) and an f/1.4 lens, or 7m (24 feet) with an f/4 lens. As with all flashes, actual range will depend on the conditions. Lenses as wide as 22mm (APS cameras) or 28mm (35mm cameras) can be used. A macro panel is provided for close up shots, down to 0.23m (9.1 inches). Built in autofocus illuminator projects a pattern onto the subject to allow focusing in low light, or even complete darkness. When used with a Vectis camera the SF-1 is splash proof, so you can use it safely in light rain or snow. The flash is very compact at only around 58x91x36mm (2.3x3.6x1.4 inches) and lightweight at approximately 100g (3.5oz) without batteries. Power is supplied by two common 3V CR2 Lithium batteries (included).
A great little flash for Minolta Vectis S-1 and many Dynax film users.
Condition: Excellent+++ (8.5/10)
The flash has been checked on our camera and is in fully working order. Cosmetically it shows only normal signs of use with some surface marks here and there in the plastic finish, and the battery contacts are clean with no signs of corrosion. The box and instructions are showing signs of age but complete, while the case and macro panel are in very good condition.
No cracks, splits or deep scratches, and overall it's in nice shape.
Complete and boxed with instructions, macro panel and case, plus 2x CR2 batteries.
